Funder: Catholic Campaign for Human Development
Program: Eligibility Quiz for Community Organizing Grant and/or Economic Development Grant

Summary: Submit the free eligibility quiz between August 1st and November 1st.  CCHD will review all quizzes and notify organizations via e-mail as to their determination on eligibility. 
Economic Development Implementation Grants may be used for General operating expenses and Business start up/expansion.  Maximum awards are $50,000.
Community Organizing Grants may be used for General organizational support and Specific initiatives.  Maximum awards are $50,000.
Designed for organizations that are incorporated and where the organization has an Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) tax exempt designation. If the applicant organization is not incorporated and federally tax exempt, CCHD may allow use of a fiscal agent to receive the grant funds and to distribute them to the funded group. To qualify, the fiscal agent must be incorporated and must have a current 501(c)(3) designation. A fiscal agent does not direct a funded effort. Their primary purpose is to transmit the CCHD funds and oversee their proper use.
CCHD does not determine funding based on religious/denominational affiliation .

Program: Federal Property Suitable as Facilities to Assist the Homeless

Summary: This Notice identifies unutilized, underutilized, excess, and surplus Federal property reviewed by HUD for suitability for possible use to assist the homeless.  This program is designed for use by homeless service providers. 
Deadline: Properties listed as suitable/available will be available exclusively for homeless use for a period of 60 days from the date of this Notice.

Beginning in July 2006 - Maberry Consulting will be providing free grant writing services to one non profit organization * each quarter.  Our drawings will be held on the last day of each quarter or the first business day there after.  (September, December, March, June)  In order to qualify for this drawing - please complete the contact us form.  In the comments section - please indicate the nature of your grant writing need and reference the drawing.  Each entry will then be contacted and asked to complete a questionnaire. The selected organization will receive one grant writing service at no cost. Only one entry per organization please.  Good luck and check back often.  We will post our winners! *Eligible entities include non profit organizations, community based organizations, faith based organizations. and schools.
