At Lil' Texans Learning Center we believe that effective communication between the school and the parents is an essential part of providing superior care for your child. Parents can take advantage of our open door policy which allows you to come and see your child at any time.
Each class offers direct communication with parents through monthly newsletters, phone calls, special notices, and personal interaction upon pick-up and drop-off. By bridging the home-school connection through communication with parents, teachers are better equipped to meet the needs of each individual child and reinforce practices that are taking place at home.
Lil'Texans Learning Center also offers childcare for school age students during summer, spring break, and at other times when school is not in session. We also welcome drop-ins.
During the summer, the school age children get to go on lots of awesome field trips such as, to the Houston Zoo, The Children's Museum, The Texas Battleship, and a Houston Astros game, just to name a few. We also offer fun field trips once a month for PreK and they get to explore places like Double Dave's pizza, McDonald's, or the neighborhood grocery store. We even offer "Mr.Freeze" the ice cream man for every class to get ice cream on every Thursday during the summer.
Our school encourages the involvement of parents in all aspects of their child's education and developmental stages. Having breakfast with your child, going on field trips with your child, or even coming in to read a story to your child's class are all ways that you can participate in the growing experiences of your child. During the school year we have one or two fund raisers where parental involvement could also be utilized.
